Volunteer!

We have many jobs (big, small, ongoing or sporadic), and we’ll find you the right one. Or you can join our small tasks Google Group to learn when we need intermittent jobs done (envelope stuffing, poster hanging, kid-mail dispersing, centerpiece making, etc.).

What do you love to do? In order to have a successful auction on May 1st, we need volunteers now. Our most immediate needs are in Communications and Donations.

Classroom Projects

We need one parent from each classroom to step forward and take the lead on his or her room’s art project.

Do you have a creative flair? A desire to meet skilled crafts people and parent volunteers? This is the project for you. Your job is identifying resources and talent in your classroom and determining how they could be used to create a project based on your class expedition.

The project coordinator, Amy Bell, will be available to help you brainstorm ideas, identify resources to kick-start the project and keep it on track.

Classroom Liaison

Become the auction liaison for your classroom. You’ll be "in the loop" when it comes to important auction developments and you can help convey your fellow classroom parents’ questions or concerns about this year's event.

You’ll get to extend personal invitations to friends and other classroom parents to get involved in this year’s auction. Encourage them to assemble great items. Make sure they get their invitations. Invite them to share a table with you or other room parents.

This is a great job for someone who’s frequently at school, loves hanging out with parents on the playground or wants to know more Thornton Creek families.
